What Makes Us Unique
-
Spiral CurriculumConcepts are taught at a simplified level first and re-visited at a more complex level later on. Benefits: To develop the students into Independent learners.
-
Constructive LearningAt eiMaths, we recognize that every child’s ability differs from one to another and hence adopt a constructive classroom based learning approach for all our programs offered. Our constructive classroom based learning approach involves a continuous and active process of engaging our students, evaluating their individual abilities, and fitting our programs through tailoring material / learning practices to suit them and help them gain knowledge on Mathematical concepts. Benefits: Active Engagement Making the learning process enjoyable and allowing strategic exploration of errors, helping students take ownership of what they learn and how they think and understand.
-
Discovery LearningAll our programs are built to be inquiry / discovery based, allowing students to ask questions, discover facts, concepts and relationships through exploring and engaging with manipulatives. Through active involvement and activities encouraging self-reflection, our programs motivate, nurture and inspire student’s independent thinking skills and enthusiasm in exploring Mathematics, arousing their curiosity and sparking their interest in the process of problem solving. Benefits Inquiry based learning Allowing students to ask questions, discover facts, concepts and relationships, nurturing and inspiring their enthusiasm, interest and independent thinking skills. Regulation of student’s thinking and understanding of what is taught Helping students develop their confidence and cultivate a positive attitude in facing and solving Mathematical problems using appropriate strategies.
-
Activity Based LearningTogether with our workbooks, the K1 – P3 students will have opportunity to acquire skill through self- discovery, fun filled activities and games focusing on: Numerical calculation Logic reasoning Life application Visualisation Combination thinking
-
ApproachLearning Mode : Students participate in active learning sessions with specially-designed workbooks that encourage them to apply previously learnt concepts. Learning Attitude : These exercises are conducted in a comfortable and supportive learning environment that inculcate a love of Maths in students.
-
MethodologyTeaching Style : Instructors will adjust their teaching styles to suit the needs of each individual student. Learning Approach : Students have to complete a diagnostic test before receiving their workbooks. Hence, this allows instructors to thoroughly gauge the ability of each student and assign them with the appropriate workbooks. Class Size : 5 – 8 students (dependent on classroom size)
-
MaterialsSpiral Curriculum : Structured method with 44 workbooks per level, MOE aligned. Syllabus : Ranges from basic to in-depth with an emphasis on building strong Mathematical foundations. Workbooks : Full colour workbooks that are specially-designed to be engaging. Learning Tools : Fun activities that encourage students to apply Mathematical concepts and practical problem-solving skills.
